I was really, really into dinosaurs as a little kid. My earliest memory is the one in the entrance hall of the London Natural History Museum, and my earliest embarrassing memory is doing a ‘dinosaur dance’ with two sticks in reception. No, I don’t know either.

Apparently they’ve found another crater, this one in Ukraine, that may have influenced their extinction; according to evidence of rock layers full of fern spikes, this impact was earlier than that which created the Chicxulub crater in the Gulf of Mexico.

This is interesting… although I’ll be sorry to let go of that super-dramatic bit of footage in Walking with Dinosaurs (?? I think so, anyway…) where the blast comes and everything dies. Since the two blasts were possibly thousands of years apart, not everything would have died from the first one.
