Three unrelated items

Oh woo. I remarked on this a long time ago in the post All GCSEs are not created equal..? A national news network has caught hold of the idea that some exam boards are easier than others in particular subjects. This seems to be, given the example I used in my post, fairly self-evident. And for the schools not using the ‘easy’ boards? Perhaps they want to give their pupils a proper education.

In utterly unrelated news, this is awesome. As has been previously remarked, I love science, and this is the first I’d heard about this quark-gluon plasma. It makes sense.

And more unrelated news, I really hope this website lives up to its promise. It is a Government project meant to publish information about Government policies, spending and timelines. However, from a very brief look over, it seems to be a little unclear – what are these proposals and reforms? However, I’ll be keeping an eye on it.
